'I was looking for something a bit particular in a teacher: ability and willingness to relate to adult learners, first-class musicianship and playing to inspire me, ability to work both at the technical level and at the musical level, knowledge of and insight into piano repertoire to make suggestions that both inspire and challenge (by just the right amount....I was lucky enough to find Helen Reid a couple of years ago, who has more than exceeded my expectations.'
